Fortunately,
TMP has had the opportunity to work with other
authentic and accomplished clients who practice
sustainability. We know the kind of real “green”
news the media wants, yet understand the pitfalls
of “greenwashing” messages and story pitches.
During
our recent opening launch campaign for the Venice
Beach Eco-Cottages –- three former crack houses
turned into “green” houses -- we delighted in
explaining its “green from the inside out” concept.
Due to our skill in carefully telling the cottages’
detailed and substantial story, they have received
coverage as green standard setters in:
TMP
also orchestrated a nationwide book tour for
the cottages’ “green” interior designer, Kelly
LaPlante. We positioned Kelly as the original
green designer in the country who began helping
her clients achieve sustainable, chic design
long before green became in vogue. In all our
communications, we were careful to reinforce
her brand philosophy: “Green is a standard not
a style.” All proceeds for her coffee table
book, ecologique, are going to two green
charities. Kelly has also worked with Lexus
and Fairmont Hotels to design Lexus Hybrid Living
Suites at The Fairmont San Francisco and The
Fairmont D.C.
Book
Soirees for Kelly LaPlante were held in these
cities:
LOS
ANGELES: Kelly’s studio in Venice, California,
with 150 attendees, including reps from: Architectural
Digest; KTLA Morning News, Lexus, Global Green
& The Blank Theater represented
NEW
YORK:
Co-hosted by actress Ally Sheedy, whose home is
featured in the book. 70 media, actors and other
VIPs attended the event held in the upper room
at the trendy ABC Home, the top retail center
for sustainable design in the city.
DALLAS:
The Fairmont Dallas hosted the book party after
Kelly appeared on two local television stations
and was interviewed by the Dallas Morning News
for a major feature story.
SAN
FRANCISCO: Members of the Nob Hill Society
and local designers and media were invited to
the Crystal Room of the Fairmont San Francisco
to meet the designer and tour the LHL Suite.
TMP’s
efforts have helped make Kelly the “It” girl of

and the Pacific Design Center DIFFA Showcase.
