KIM MARSHALL
Kim
Marshall is the owner of The Marshall Plan, a communications
company specializing in luxury and lifestyle clients, with a clientele
that’s a virtual “who’s who” of the lifestyle, travel & spa industries.
Her 22 years of experience in travel includes working as a consultant
and Executive Committee member for the launch of three of the
most high-profile resorts in the world. After 10 years of corporate
in-house marketing, she established The Marshall Plan, which has
created a niche as one of the country’s top lifestyle &travel
branding and public relations companies. Since its 1995 launch,
The Marshall Plan team has consulted on branding, positioning
and PR with over 40 different clients – including hotels, resorts,
spas, destinations, travel companies, Websites, physicians, and
authors, as well as catalog, product & fashion companies.
Positioned as a Lifestyle Trend Expert, Kim Marshall has spoken
around the country on marketing, been quoted in national magazines
& newspapers such as CONDE NAST TRAVELER and TRAVEL WEEKLY, and
she has appeared on FOX T.V., QVC, ACCESS HOLLYWOOD and her own
30-minute newsmagazine called THE SPA LIFE that she developed
for FOX’s Health Network.
Ms. Marshall has also been tapped to do spa and wellness consulting
for Fortune 500 companies including:
Coca Cola: Part of select team of Spa Experts who worked with
company’s strategic team to brainstorm a new healthy drink. (Dasani
water was born)
Proctor & Gamble: Was asked to be one of team of spokepersons
for launch of company’s enhanced product – Downey Fabric Softener
with Aromatherapy. Worked with Ogilvy & Mather on three-month
launch campaign as Spa Expert.
Walgreens: The corporate facilitator contacted TMP about a brainstorming
session to help create a new spa product. TMP then helped organize
a team of six spa experts to spend a day in Chicago w/the corporate
team for a strategic session.
In 1997 Marshall worked with five different spa companies to become
the first to develop a spa-at-home kit called SMART SPA™ for QVC
(home shopping television network) appearing on the channel to
help teach viewers how to recreate an authentic spa experience
at home. TMP was responsible for packaging, public relations and
distribution outreach.
Her articles on popular culture, wellness, anti-aging and exercise
have appeared in many newspapers and magazines, including the
Washington Post, Women’s Sports & Fitness, Spa Magazine and Conde
Nast Traveler.
Having obtained a degree in communications from Towson State University
in Maryland , Marshall has attended graduate classes at UCLA.
An avid hiker and aficionado of the arts, Ms. Marshall resides
in Pacific Palisades, California with her husband, Laz and her
young son, Gabriel.

With nearly 15 years of public relations and marketing experience,
Jennifer still brings a fresh approach and unique perspective to
every new client and each new campaign.
Her background is both diverse in depth and yet specialized in niche
and her client counsel been found to be integral. By pursuing clientele

suite of skills, contacts and history in the realms of domestic

and consumer products. Jennifer’s Communication degree from

With both extensive experience and great personal interest in Mexican
culture, business and people, a sub-specialty in Mexican travel

Cathy Feliciano
Chon
Direct experience with destination PR, the retail
and beauty industries, the media in Asia, and in the celebrity
arena (Hong Kong:).
Ms. Chon began her experience in the beauty world at Fred Hayman's
(formerly Giorgio of Beverly Hills) where she coordinated the
international launch of fragrance brands, organized celebrity
events and fashion shows on Rodeo Drive, and coordinated wardrobing for Oscar presenters
and nominees.
For seven years she was the Director of Public Relations for Sebastian
International where she was responsible for an annual PR budget
of $1.5 million and a staff of five. Besides international media
relations, Ms. Chon directed the corporation's philanthropic efforts,
which included participation in high-profile benefits for rainforest,
breast cancer and AIDS charities, as well as organizing product
placement in feature films and securing celebrity endorsements
for products. She also worked in product development, brand packaging
and marketing strategies.
Len Torres
Art Director
Veteran creative director Len Torres opened
his own successful design firm, PRIMUS, in 1976 after gaining
extensive experience as an art director for several prestigious
Southern California-based companies. With a keen understanding
of color and design trends and applications and a background in
developing visually stunning campaigns for luxury clients, Len
has worked with an expansive list of notable companies including
the legendary Golden Door Spa in San Diego County; Rancho La Puerta
(the first destination spa in North America); The Grand Wailea
Resort Hotel & Spa in Maui; the Regent Beverly Wilshire hotel
of "Pretty Woman" fame; Indigo Grill Restaurant; Old Globe Theatre
in San Diego; the world-famous San Diego Zoo; La Costa Products,
International; and Thalasso Spa Equipment. Drawing from his specialized
training in graphic and written communications, San Diego native
Len weaves his keen understanding of powerful messaging into his
creative campaigns that range from branding, public relations
and advertising to strategy development, copywriting and multimedia
production.
Len is a founding member of San Diego's AIGA chapter (American
Institute of Graphic Artists), and his numerous prestigious honors
include awards from the New York Art Director's Club, National
Medical Association (Gold), PRINT Magazine, and Illustration West
(Gold). Len's professional contributions also include work on
behalf of important non-profit organizations including the American
Cancer Society, American Lung Association and the Child Abuse
Prevention Foundation. When not creating memorable campaigns for
his many clients, Len enjoys giving marketing and design lectures
at local San Diego colleges.

Niki Jensen
Public Relations Associate
Niki, who has a degree in journalism and
studied in Paris, uses extensive writing experience and singular
one-on-one communication skills to animate her public relations
work. On the front line of client and
media care for The Marshall Plan, Niki brings a fresh perspective
to the creative development and orchestration of our firm's multi-layered
campaigns for global luxury clients.
Before joining The Marshall Plan, Niki did pr and marketing for
design and architecture firms and for lifestyle and nightlife
clients in Los Angeles. She has honed her writing skills at such
publications as Hollywood Scriptwriter and The Bettendorf News,
and her stories for The Cedar Rapids Gazette were picked up by
the Associated Press. A believer in living life to the fullest,
when not taking care of business for The Marshall Plan, Niki loves
a great read, savors the music of bygone eras, embraces the momentous
and the mundane with equal zest, and checks items off her mushrooming
list of things to do, see and experience.
